The 3 Day Classic Cappadocia Package covers the two essential sightseeing routes in the region and leaves the final day for a traditional Turkish bath and unhurried personal time. It is a practical choice for first-time visitors who want to see northern and southern Cappadocia without filling every morning and evening with extra activities.
The program includes a full-day Red Tour, a full-day Green Tour and a standard Turkish bath experience. Both sightseeing days are led by licensed professional guides and organized by a local Cappadocia tour operator. Scheduled transportation, museum entries and lunch are included on the Red and Green Tours.
Day 1 focuses on the fairy chimneys, rock settlements and pottery tradition of northern Cappadocia. Day 2 travels farther south for an underground city, Ihlara Valley, Belisırma and Selime. Day 3 provides time for a traditional Turkish bath and can also be used for Göreme, shopping, a relaxed lunch or departure preparations.
This arrangement keeps the two longer tour days together while giving guests a lighter final day. The order may be changed according to tour departures, hotel location and Turkish bath availability.
The Red Tour introduces the best-known landscapes of northern Cappadocia. The regular route normally includes Göreme Panorama, viewpoints around Uçhisar and Love Valley, Avanos, Paşabağ, Zelve Open-Air Museum and Devrent Valley.
Driving times between the main stops are relatively short. This gives the professional guide enough time to explain the volcanic landscape, former rock-cut settlements, monastic history and the pottery tradition of Avanos.
The first stops provide a wide view across the valleys and fairy chimneys. The guide explains how volcanic tuff, erosion and human settlement shaped the landscape seen around Göreme and Uçhisar.
Avanos developed beside the Kızılırmak River and has a long pottery tradition based on local clay. The workshop visit usually includes a live demonstration before lunch at a local restaurant.
Paşabağ is known for large multi-headed fairy chimneys and traces of monastic use. Zelve preserves rock-cut rooms, churches and passages from a former settlement. Devrent is a landscape stop where natural formations resemble animals and other recognizable shapes.
The Green Tour covers southern Cappadocia and includes longer driving distances than the Red Tour. The scheduled route normally visits Kaymaklı or Derinkuyu Underground City, Ihlara Valley, Belisırma, Selime Monastery and a panoramic stop such as Pigeon Valley.
This day includes more walking, stairs and confined passages. Comfortable footwear is important, especially for the underground city and Ihlara Valley sections.
The exact underground city is selected according to the daily route, visitor density and operational conditions. Both locations contain narrow corridors, low ceilings, stairs and rooms built on multiple underground levels.
Guests with claustrophobia, serious breathing problems or limited mobility should speak with the guide before entering.
The guided Ihlara Valley section generally follows the Melendiz River for about 3.5 kilometers. The route includes steps and uneven ground, but much of the walking area is shaded by trees.
Lunch is usually served in Belisırma before the tour continues toward Selime.
Selime is a large rock-cut complex with chambers, religious spaces and elevated views across the surrounding landscape. Access involves inclined and uneven surfaces, so stable walking shoes are recommended.
The third day includes a standard Turkish bath, also known as a hammam. The usual experience consists of time in the heated room, a kese body scrub, foam massage, face or clay mask and a short rest period.
The Turkish bath is scheduled according to availability and may take place in the morning or afternoon. Guests can use the remaining part of the day for independent sightseeing, shopping, a meal in Göreme or travel preparations.
Extra massage treatments are not included unless they are added separately.
